Shivvardhan Knowledge Foundation (SKF) believes that real, long lasting change lies within the society, by the society. To achieve this mission, we partnered with various networks to build a community for students ranging from different age groups, especially those who have a weak economic background. We impart life skills through a uniquely designed program ‘Life Skills’, which consists of classroom sessions, sports activities and management workshops conducted towards improving communication skills, effective decision-making ability, interpersonal skills, leadership qualities, team building and clarity in thoughts. We didn’t just want to build a program, we wanted to create a space where the students could build fundamental qualities to succeed in life. Where they can dream of becoming who they want to be.

Initiative cause
Due to economic status and lack of support, education for the underprivileged has always been challenging. To overcome this, SKF started an initiative called ‘Life Skills’ for the underprivileged, where, through our wide networks, they are able to get the education they need. So far, SKF has reached out to more than one thousand students. Through this, the students have started feeling confident, and their attitude toward life has changed to a larger extent. This has also resulted in a positive impact on their academic progress.

School Collaboration
SKF approaches schools with an introductory letter containing a request to allow students to undertake the ‘Life Skills’ initiative for the school’s students. Post the consent, the team at SKF works on a very systematic approach. Coordinators of SKF keep close coordination with the school authorities. The schedule of the lectures is pre-decided with the school authorities and is strictly followed by the SKF team. At the end of the academic year, we provide a detailed report regarding the work undertaken and its impact.
